Dr. Pedro Luis Bohórquez Ramírez has been appointed by the President of the Republic, Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, by Decree number 2563 of 2011, as the new National Accountant of the Nation.
He is Public Accountant of the University of the Salle; Has extensive academic, research and social projection experience. He has done higher studies in High Management in the University of the Andes and Military University New Granada; Also in Internal and Management Control, in the Institute of Studies of the Public Ministry; Administration and Credit Management at the National School of Housing and Savings (ENHAP), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
He served as Deputy Administrative and Financial Officer of the Commission for the Regulation of Drinking Water and Basic Sanitation (CRA) and as Dean of the Faculty of Public Accounting at San Martín University.
In his important career, Dr. Bohórquez also served as an advisor to the Office of the Deputy Minister of Labor; Acted as Administrative and Financial Sectional Director of the Attorney General of the Nation of Bogota and Cundinamarca; Was Deputy National Director of Administration and Finance, Head of the Office of Internal Control, Financial Director and Regional Director of the National Service of Learning (SENA) in Bogotá and Cundinamarca; Worked in prominent state entities, such as the Comptroller General of the Republic and the General Registrar of the Civil Status. His academic experience has developed in the universities of Colombia, La Gran Colombia, Central and De la Salle.
At the research level, he has been Scientific and Technical Director in the area of Planning and Internal Control with a systemic approach; Has designed and implemented the Internal Control system for different municipal administrations; And was director of the Conscience Magazine.
